Let your car warm up to operating temperature then shift car into neutral and check transmission fluid, if good your transmission is most likely going badly

I second that test...definitely leaning towards low tranny fluid or tranny issues..simple to tell check fluid n see what the levels at. usually shifting issues is more than not low tranny fluid

The transmission is about 4 years old close to 90k miles maybe by now. It was a rebuilt. Like an idiot i had never flushed it only added. The color wasnt burnt but still red. I did the flush yesterday but it is still doing the thud and slip even though i let warm up for ten minutes today
