what size tires can i put on my honda accord sedan 1998

I don't consider to be an expert on this, but i have been told that 3 sizes more than original is pretty much the max. , for example: on my 2001 Accord Lx/4-dr, I put 225/40R18z tires with no issues..not to mention it looks really nice. I also have a 2002 Accord Ex 4-dr v-6.keeping that one original. The v-6 has 5 studs on tire,and the 4cyl. have 4 studs.

What size rims...15"? 16" Need more info and what you're trying to find out exactly. Are you wanting to go up in size, or just trying to save money and run whatever compatible size you can? Let's say your O.E. tire size is 195/60/15. You could get away with a 205/60/15...or a 185/65/15.... For a 195/65/15.... 195 is the tire's width in millimeters. 65 is the tire's height as a percentage of its width...so 65% of 195mm is the height. 15 is the rim diameter. You want to keep over-all diameter as close as possible to stock for speedometer accuracy...so as the first number increases, you want an appropriate decrease in the second number. I.E. 195/65/15 to 205/60/15. A change in rolling diameter will affect your speedometer (on the front tires only, since your car is FWD).

Would a 205/70/15 fit a 98 honda accord?

I am curious i have a broken down 2002 honda odyssey with 16 x 16.5 size tires on them and i am getting a 2001 honda accord that come with 15" size tires on it. The tires on my van are brand new but the accord needs new tires all around. Can I just put the van tires on the accord?
