I have a 98 Honda passport engine light came on

Bring to nearest Auto Zone and have the error codes read. Most likely a bad O2 sensor. Just check your oil before you go. That will cause more problems than anything else.

Best thing to do is to take the vehicle to a Pep Boys, Autozone or Advance and they will scan the code for free. You can either look the code up online or post it here and someone will be able to assist you.

Why not just do an engine service? Tune up,filters, oil change, etc. Then start planning for a new car- you do not want to get bogged down in a 20 year old Honda-
