I need to replace my low beam on my 1984 Subaru GL wagon

Asked by bumble1234 Jan 18, 2016 at 11:19 PM about the 1984 Subaru GL Wagon

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I need to do this soon to avoid getting stuck with a fix it ticket I can't afford
to pay. I can't afford a mechanic either, and it seems like something I
should be able to do myself. How do I remove the old one to install a new
one? It appears to be old school where the entire fixture is the lamp itself,
so it's not a matter of replacing a simple light bulb like in my later model
cars. Need answer in a hurry! Thank you!

Old school head lamps were held in with a chrome ring and several screws. Take a close look at the headlight and you should see the screws.
