2010 Legacy 2.5 GT engine swap

Asked by GuruCS2K9 Feb 20, 2019 at 10:19 PM about the 2010 Subaru Legacy 2.5GT FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My Subaru was burning oil a little
more then normal and it has cost me
cylinder 2. They want at least $8000
to fix it.  What would be a direct
engine swap for the vehicle

1 Answer

That must be dealer prices. I would shop around at independent shops. Your options are a crate engine, rebuild the one you have or a used engine.
