My honda civic keeps spewing out freon

So I just had a new air compressor put on my 1997 honda
civic ex coupe.Everytime we go to charge it and put freon in it
it shoots back out what could b causing it to do tht?I don't
have the cash to take it to the high end dealer.Could someone
please give me some advice p.s. Ima girl and have no clue
about cars what so ever and dnt wanna b screwed over
..Please help!

Did you have the system evacuated and a vacuum pulled on it or are you just trying to add refrigerant without doing that?

the system has in fact been evacuated but when they go to charge it up and put the freon it acts as if its gonna take and out of nowhere it shoots out.

if you are using the low pressure port, you may have a blockage in the system
