2011 Hyundai Accent turns off

a couple weeks ago i got my transmission oil changed for the first time since
hitting 100,000 miles. Ever since then my car turns off randomly when I use it.
A mechanic had told me that the car isn't used to clean transmission oil so it's
going to turn off here and there until it gets used to the new, clean oil. I'm not
quite sure if this is true, but can someone please tell me if it is true or if they
know what might be wrong with my car???

Sounds bogus to me. Keep that receipt ready to show when you ask to speak to the manager. If your car wasn't acting this way when you brought it in, then they are likely responsible. Ask politely if they will jack it up and take another look. I can't tell you how many times things like this happened to me. One company found new "problems" when I went for an oil change. Every time! Yep. I was chump! (They are out of business now. Yeah!! But not before they used my customer loyalty to the tune of LOTS of big $$$) This is a one- owner car which I bought brand new. I thought I was going to save money by going somewhere other than the dealership. BIG mistake! For future reference - ask for the old parts when you have any work done. You can have the old parts checked by the dealership to see if they look newly (conveniently) damaged.Good luck to you. I'm a solo granny who got taken. Don't you get taken!
