Why is my engine ticking in my subaru

The code is for an EVAP system leak.

Would that make my engine make a ticking sound

Probably not. I can't diagnose noises over the internet. You should have a mechanic listen to the noise.

They all tick. It's the fuel injectors clicking on and off at idle. As well you'll hear other top end noises, as boxster engines have a high surface area-to-volume ratio, so they're unusually noisy. Only if there's a significant bottom-end noise upon throttle...after warmup...should you worry about prior oil starvation damage.
