2016 Subaru Outback

Asked by Bailey Jun 08, 2019 at 01:45 PM about the 2016 Subaru Outback 2.5i Touring

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Our Subaru also wouldn't start recently, we bought in Feb of 2016, it's been fine until yesterday....I've read all the threads with all the battery issues, when we turn the key, all the interior electrical seems to work, we hear a faint clicking but nothing close to the engine turning over.....would part of the electrical system work if the battery was a problem ??

A weak battery will power some things but the starter takes a lot of power to operate. Buy a higher capacity battery.

make sure the batt terminals are tight , If the batt is charged and there's a click at the starter maybe the starter is bad ,

Aloha, mahalo for your response....yeah, we jump started it and it was fine, definitely getting a stronger battery on Monday.......

I am also having battery issues with my 2015 Subaru outback. Changing powerful batteries is the only option? Does it fix this issue?
