Honda civic 1996 swap engine

I have honda civic 1996 factotry everything. I would like to put some better everything to
make it run a little bit fast. No for racing..just to have something under the hood

First, do you live in a state where your car might not pass smog tests if you modify it? Your car is a '96, so the engine should be getting tired. Have you thought about getting it rebuilt while doing research for a little better cam? You get a nice machinist to do a valve job and clean up the exhaust ports on the heads, free up the exhaust and you should have a bit more horsepower and a car that should still pass smog.

Hi, thanks for answer. I live tenessee. We dont smog tests, etc..I know some guys they put vtech or the have already. They run pretty good. Can u advise me on what type of vtech, etc...? Thanks

There should be a lot of forums out there specifically for Accords and Civics where members would cover everything from engine enhancements to custom touches. Those would be your best bet for the best advice. Good luck
