Help?

Question type: Maintenance & Repair
I have a 1995 Honda Accord EX. I was going up a
hill normal speed like 60-65 mph when my car just
revved up. It didn’t make any other noises. Just
seemed like it dropped out of gear and was in
neutral. Whenever I stopped I was messing with the
shifter and tried to put it back into drive but it
wouldn’t do anything. Whenever I put it into any
gear all it does is rev up. Any help would be
appreciated

That sounds weird if it’s manual I’d check to see if the clutch has somehow locked up cause it sounds like it runs fine but won’t move a truck of mine had a problem lije this to though the problem was the drivetrain broke it was a rear wheel drive if it’s automatic it could be a damn sensor
It’s an automatic and front wheel drive. I don’t want to pay to get a new tranny if that’s not the problem. But I don’t even know where to start
Yeah. I checked it whenever I was stopped and it was full
Check to make sure linkage is connected, start it up with hand brake on and tested it, if linkage is connected and you can see it shifting and fluid level is good, you have a bad transmission.
If the linkage is connected wouldn’t you feel it kicking into gear?
Exactly. So if it is connected and moving and still not going into gear. Transmission is bad. Either no pressure from torque converter, bad internal clutch or stripped gear
You can’t feel it kicking into gear whenever you have your foot on the break and drop it into any gear
I don't think 95 have solenoids. Need to have it checked at a transmission shop
I know it has 1 just unsure if it would cause this problem I don’t even know if that is 1 that can clog up
It's probably cheaper to pay for a diagnose and be sure what the problem is
