1984 S15 Sierra Classic no start

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My 1984 Seirra Classic had been giving me a bit of
trouble starting. It will crank but no start. The
starter wires had got damaged when I replaced
exhaust and were not moved away enough. I fixed
2 different breaks in them but I drove it home
unloaded it.cut it off the crank it. Moved it to
parking spot. Went inside slept got up at 4am it
crank but would not start. I checked wires on
starter, battery and charge. I just started fooling
with this truck in August, fuel pump was lose and
no battery when purchased. Put new battery,
distributor and rotar, spark plug wires, spark plugs,
vacuum lines and fuel filter. Air filter and radiator
hose. Slowly trying to replace disengrating part
due to age. I am leaning toward it being wires that
I have repaired but it doesn’t quite seem same. I
am thinking crankshaft sensor. It cranks about half
way, then grinding and acts like not enough power.
Suggestions or answers appreciated

The problem is the wires. I need a 2 wire diode teminted wire to go on solenoid . Now my problem is where do I get one?
