why engine light is on?

light is on but car seems to be driving ok.

Drive over to an Auto Zone parts store and they will read the error code for you (free) and tell you where to look for the problem at hand.

Check the oil pressure with a mechanical gauge, if normal replace the oil pressure switch. If abnormal could mean oil pump and/or engine bearing.
