Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 95 civic sedan lx with the 4 cyl I just replaced the
ignition switch and battery. It starts but won't stay running
it will run if I hold the key... It was fixed once we out the new
ignition in but when I took it down the road and turned the
turn signal on the clock flickered and Rev and speed went
crazy then the whole car died.... And went back to the start
but won't run...
What's wrong with it...
The first time it happen I was driving and the speedometer
and Rev started acting up and I swear I saw smoking in the
steering column and had it towed back here and since
replaced battery and ignition
