Heat coming into cab during summer from the motor department

I have heat coming in from the motor
compartment into my cab on my Ford
expedition 2000 was wondering why and
how to stop it.I have heat in for winter but I
have no AC my AC lines are broken so I'm
not worried about that I know how to fix all
that my question is is it the blend or then

There is a door that is open at the heater core behind the dash. It opens and closes when you change from ac to heat
