Why? When i get to about 50mphs my "Service Engine Soon" light starts blinking on and off...

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

During that time, my air conditioner stops blowing out cold air and i start to smell antifreeze coming through the vents but my truck is not running hot(well not yet anyway). My suspicion is that i need a new radiator.

a flashing check enging light indicates a misfire occuring right then....you have the v-8? and the ac will stop because the engine isnot providing enough power to supply it possibly.Smelling antifreeze also indicates a potential headgasket issue. Auto zone, advanced, etc. will check the codes for free, before you buy anything report back to us, and inform me of what they were, so I can assist in any way possible.....
