Can I use 10W40 Oil for 1994 Accord instead of 10W30?

Asked by Jetrink Jul 16, 2021 at 05:13 PM about the 1994 Honda Accord EX Wagon

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 1994 Honda Accord with 903,000 miles and it's beginning to use a little
more oil that normal.  I have always used Mobil One 10W30 but I'm wondering
if I used 10W40 would that hurt the engine?  Would it possibly cut oil
consumption down a little?

You can use it and maybe it will reduce oil consumption. You can even try 20W50 in the summer.
