I have a new relay & new fuel pump but wont hold its idle

Ok this a tough one ,as in the beginning issue becomes a different issue . So let's start at the beginning list . Fuel pump . Was it a universal pump from say Autozone.? Universal pumps tend to be a hit or miss, they fit but they d9nt always put out enough pressure/flow for certain applications . Next did you replace the fuel filter ? It's possible it has picked up some debris from the tank after or prior to pump replacement . How did you determine the fuel pump was bad ? Are you certain it wasnt sometjing else such as a bad mass airflow sensor ,or jumped timing belt causing the original problem ? .if you answered yes tone "universal pump" take it back and get a specific apllicatoon part and see of that fixes your issue .I'd also suggest replacing fuel filter at the same time (anytime you replace a fuel pump a new filter is always a good idea. If your diagnosis of a bad fuel pump is correct this should rectify the problem .if the diagnosis was more of guess I'd suggest having it looked at by a professional .Good Luck

I had bypass my fuel pump. I ran a speaker wire straight to my battery and my car fired right up. So i know now its my connectors to my fuel pump. How do i figure out my next step. I could run a switch so everytime i run my car i just hit the switch but if i didnt need to put a switch what would be easier

Check with a computer! Mine did the same thing! Had to have computer rebuilt!
