i have a honda prelude vtech engine when i was driving on the free way my car stoped accelerating i got to a full stop turned off the car the engine turned on then i but it in to gear and it didnt move there was no grinding at all when i wiggled the shifter when i put it into reverse the lights came on but no movent when acceleration only revving of the enginge

Sound like power is not going to the wheels. It could be a worn clutch if it's a manual. It could be the axles or something in the transmission if it's an automatic.
