We have an Audi A4 that was stolen but the guy posted a
video online. In the video he shows reving up the engine
and and jerking forward in the car. In the video the car
started puttering and just shut off. When we went to
retrieve the car from the lot they found it in, It won’t start.
The battery shows 12V , when u push the key in,  and it
just clicks twice and does nothing. do you have any idea
what else we should be looking for?

Let your insurance adjuster worrey about it . You surely carry comprehensive on your policy

It’s my sons car and he only has liability so insurance is doing nothing.
