How do I put my powerless 2011 A4 in neutral to be towed

Asked by Ayanna Sep 07, 2019 at 09:25 PM about the 2011 Audi A4 2.0T quattro AWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I filled my gas tank this morning and my car
wouldn't start. The weak battery message flashed,
so I found someone to jump my car. I drove home
and turned my car off, when I tried to leave a little
later, once again it wouldn't crank. Once again I had
it jumped, but this time I let it run for about an hour
and drove a little before turning it off. A few hours
later the same thing happens, except this time the
battery wouldn't charge and the key is stuck in the
ignition. Now no lights are coming on and I can't
even put my car in neutral to be towed. Does
anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks... I found someone to actually jump it again and I was able to drive home. I'm going to buy a new battery and if this happens again then I will know it's the alternator. I've had absolutely no problems until yesterday, my car seemed to run perfectly.
