Will a 2003 Soho 4.0 work with a 2000 Soho 4.0
and both are 4x4 on 00 ford explorer 4x4 and will
the computer from the 03 sync with my 00

You can check the part #'s for the PCM/ECM for both vehicles and see if they are the same. You may have to take along other sensors from the '03 which may not be present in the '00, along with any hook-up not in the '00. If any repairs are done in the future you will have to advise the mechanic the engine is an '03. There were many revisions to the 4.0 over the years. Parts will have to match the model year of the engine.
