Why so much headache with the 2016 Nissan Altima CVT’s

Asked by GuruT27M7 Jul 17, 2018 at 01:50 PM about the 2016 Nissan Altima 2.5

Question type: General

I bought a 2016 Nissan Altima with 49 k on
it.  When I bought the car I took to Nissan
for service, and to check the TPMS sensor
that the light was on the dashboard, they
never checked the tranny fluid and I didn’t
know anything about the CVT
transmission, so at 57 k the start to act up
and the code was P0776. I did some
research I found that with this code I have
to change the transmission Valve Body Call
Nissan they said I m still on the warranty,
but the thing is were I am doesn’t have
Nissan dealer ship. I had to order a Valve
Body that cost me $2200. When I drained
the oil it came out so burned out with
some resíduos. I am so sad that a new car
how come the transmission fail at low k.
So I recommend don’t buy a Nissan with a
CVT transmission they are garbage.
