why did my radio suddenly stop working and is asking for a "code"?

Asked by armed_citizen Dec 30, 2014 at 10:19 AM about the 1993 Honda Prelude 2 Dr S Coupe

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

haven't had the car very long so i don't know much about it.  the radio has been playing fine until one day it just would not come on.  the readout just displays the word "code".  i am sure this is the factory radio because my aunt brought this car new and she was one of those people that was very picky about her car.
