cruise control not working on 2000 Ford Explorer Limited V8

I changed the pressure switch on master cylinder and it still wont go on

Does the light on the dash illuminate indicating the system has been activated?

Check the switch for proper voltage. Once depressed the PCM activates the system and turns on the light. Be careful when checking. The PCM is an electronic/computer device. Best you have it checked by a professional. Reversing the polarity could be disastrous.
