Let's go easiest to most expensive: 1. Check the wire from the coil to the center of the distributor. you should see something like 100k Ohms. If you see OL, replace the cable. 2. Double check how the distributor is stabbed in the engine, and make sure the rotor is secured properly to the shaft. ALSO- make sure you dont have the cap advanced or retarded too much. 3. If you have access to a MODIS or another OBD2 tool, look at the PID for CKP (crank position sensor) odds are the sensor may be bad, (displaying 000 rpm as you crank the engine)

okay, i figured out it aint got a CKP because its got a distributer, idk why it dont but still. it died on the guy i bought it from randomly in the middle of the road. umm its all plugged in right, its reading the right amount of ohms and all just still no spark... thanks john, anything else u can think of?

If it doesnt have a ckp then look for the top dead center sensor (TDC) same concept...
