what do i do when my 1991 honda accord gears lock up

Asked by tabathangeorge Jun 14, 2013 at 04:30 PM about the 1991 Honda Accord LX

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

1 Answer

my 1991 accord gears would 'lock up' if I shifted between 1st and reverse. If I jack up the driver side wheel, and just bang it back and forth, I am good to go. I have learned to avoid this, by going to neutral and releasing the clutch, letting the car spin in neutral for a moment, between 1st and rev. problem 'solved', cheaper than a rebuild...
