while driving home from a long trip in hot weather smelt gas pulled over all engine lights came on and it died, tried starting it it wants to start but it wont please help

fuel pump replaced a year ago, yet i was on a long trip in very hot weather yes drove a bit on a low tank. distributor is new, starter is new alternator is new. fuel filter is one year old. what can it be, what should i try to fix

I would check fuel pressure and leaks if you dont hear your fuel pump when your car is turned to the on position there is a problem with your pump check the main relay also they go bad ALL the time specially in hot weather. once you check those things and if they are good go from there check injectors and depending on what civic you have you may have mpfi or dpfi either way they both have injectors but the dpfi only has two they do go bad also.
