I have a 1991 honda civic lx. About a month ago i replaced the distributor, radiator, head gasket, spark plugs, and spark wires. I drove the car for a good 3 weeks after that mainly to school and back. A few days ago after school, i started my car and drove a good block or so and when i stopped my car just shut off, now it wont start and i have spark i have gas im just clueless.
4 steps to make an engine work 1.suck 2.squeeze 3.bang 4.blow 1.check for vacuum leaks around the intake manifold/make sure all sensors are plugged in such as your map sensor on the intake 2.your car squeezes fuel into the cylinders so check to see if your getting fuel into the engine may be bad injectors, fuel pump, fuel filter 3.what makes a bang is the spark plugs and the pistons! When fuel is squeezed into the cylinders the pistons hit the bottom of the spark plug realesing a spark which ignites the fuel which has been squeezed inside (since you replaced distributor and plugs check spark plug wires perhaps) 4.once your car creates that combustion in between the spark plug and the pistons if has to escape the engine through the headers and blows out the exhaust! Anyways when you try to start it does it want to start n does nothing or does it do just nothing?
