i have a 90 civic with 1 yr old motor and tranny! while driving car loses power and then picks it up again changed fuek filter contents looked browish !have pump but not sure if it a pump problem  i know it's either spark or fuel could there be anything i'm missing ? And can you get to the fuel pump without  dropping the tank?

Take a fuel pressure test should be 240-279 kPa (2.45-2.85 kg/cm2, 35-41 psi) Sounds like a restricted exhaust - Drop down engine pipe and drive car with it like that see if the bog is gone.
