Question type: Maintenance & Repair
so, i have a bit of wobble from the front passenger side that i'm attesting to a
slightly bent rim. but i replaced the rotor in that corner a few days ago.
yesterday, i'm out driving, and suddenly my brakes start squealing out of
nowhere on that side. until i turned the wheel. when i turned the wheel, it'd
stop screaming at me, then when straight again, it would. this happen for
about 5 minutes. then stopped. I'm planning a 2k mile drive from ohio to
texas and i can't risk anything going wonky on me. what could've caused it?

Are you sure there is enough brake pad on both sides. A squealing sound just going straight is usually a pad sounder, it stops when you turn or apply the brakes.
@Gene all 4 corners were just done. it has since stopped, it only happen for about 5 minutes. but it couldn't have been the sounder, they're brand new pads. they would've had to have worked themselves almost sideways in order for the squealer to have contact. @beatupchevy who hurt you? why are you here if that's your go-to answer? some of us dont have the luxury to take something to a pro. my own wrenching for the last 25 years should be experience enough, but ya know....sometimes people have gaps in their knowledge or experience and that's why pages like this exist....you ask questions on sites like this to make sure no one has an idea you haven't already had.
Okay so new brakes and I assume you used a good Anti squeal on the backs. Now the only question is what kind of brake lining, if you went full metallic then they will squeak until they get seated, and that can take a while, if you used carbon metallic, they would also squeak but only for the first day or two, the same with semi metallics, organics should not make any noise at all. Another thing too check is the bearings, make sure they do not have any movement up down or in out. If they do, then it's time for replacement.
