Dashboard lights turn off when I turn use headlights

Asked by Guru1HF98 Sep 11, 2019 at 10:50 AM about the 2010 Toyota Yaris LE 4dr Hatchback

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have this weird thing happening with my 2010 Yaris (4 doors, manual transmission, no powerwindows, cruise control, etc).

When I twist the headlight knob to turn on the headlights, all the instrument panel light turn off. So, when turning on my headlights (at night), I can't see my speed, radio, etc. If I bring it back to the first position, the instrument lights come back on.

There is a knob by your headlights switch that controls the lights on your dash turn it up or down to you desired position and brightness of dash lights if turned all the way up it’ll also turn on all lights inside the vehicle
