It's normal for a car engine to rev up when you step on the gas pedal. That's what an engine does to make the car go when it's in gear.

"Revolutions problem with toyota yaris 2006 sedan it starts but when you press gas pedal it rev up to 2500 rpm." Hi Hornet, It does not exceed that 2,5 rmp so as to gain power to move.
