A/C compressor fails to engage

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

No flashing a/c light, it is steady "on".  Compressor clutch drops out (any speed), by turning a/c off and on engages clutch. Avalon has 40K.  Relay checks out OK.  Also fails at times to engage first thing in morning at startup.

Turn your auto setting off if you have already done that and you are controlling the system and you have to engage it your dash panel needs attention. Try dousing it in denatured alcohol and blowing it out with compressed air.
