Sluggish acceleration and gurgling sound at low speeds, NO check engine light on ?

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2009 Toyota Corolla with approx, 280,000 Kms (mostly highway), car
has always had it's regular oil changes and maintenance.  Lately, at low
speed and take off from stop, the car has been very sluggish with poor
acceleration and a gurgling sound coming from under the hood while
accelerating.

No check engine light has ever come on.  The dealer did a Throttle Body
Cleaning service a few weeks ago, and (apparently) changed an exhaust
gasket (donut) at the same time.  I have pulled and cleaned the MAF Sensor,
but doesn't seem to help ??  Anyone else have this issue or know what might
be causing this ?

Were you able to identify the issue. I have a 2012 corolla manual, it used to work fine, accelerate quickly, but since the past 2 days, it doesnt pickup speed from 4th to 5th and then in 6th. I Had to press accelerator to the bottom to reach 80KMPH. Your suggestion will be appreciated. thanks

I have a similar issue with a 2014 auto Corolla Levin. Sluggish under medium > hard acceleration. Bridgestone diagnosed poor CVT fluid and a build of crap. Changed and flushed. Feels like a brand new car!

Change the fuel filter and the spark plugs that will help
