Crank no Fire 2004 Hyundai Sonata

One problem could be that the crank sensor got damaged and is not giving the correct reading.... One way to check this is to disconect the battery for 15 mins and reconect and try to start again. If it starts and doesn't idle or drive correctly and the engine light comes on thats an indication. The other more likely problem you might have is the cam timing has gone out and you can loose all compression like you described. Check it yourself or have it checked by a dealer if you don't know how to. Usualy theres a mark on each cam and one on the crank pulley (sometimes even behind the crank pulley) that have to face exactly upwards. Crank the motor by hand first before tryig to start to check that it doesnt catch on valves. If the timing is correct you may have bent a couple of valves and would need to remove the head and have it overhauld. Hope this helps
