HOW MUCH CAN I SELL A USED 2004 HYUNDAI SONATA FOR THAT HAS A SLIPPED TIMING BELT

Asked by Jackie Nov 19, 2014 at 08:52 PM about the 2004 Hyundai Sonata V6 LX FWD

Question type: Shopping & Pricing

IT IS CLEAN MINUS SOME MINOR COSMETIC ISSUES AND THE TIMING BELT BUT I NEED TO GET RID OF IT ASAP BUT WOULD LIKE TO GET THE MOST POSSIBLE OUT OF IT. WOULD IT BE MORE PROFITABLE TO PART IT OUT?

Totally depends on the mileage (as far as selling it). I doubt an '04 Hyundai will fetch a whole lot of $$, so I'd get a quote on fixing the timing belt and look at a site like: www.kbb.com to get an idea of what it's worth. For this car in Fair Condition and 60k miles, it's worth approx. $4,500. Next, find a local Chop Shop and ask them "If you steal my car, how much would you make on parts?" <

LOL on the chop shop. it sounds like the plot of a show on MTV with west coast customs.

Hmm? wonder if Jackie would come out ahead if she found an Honest and reputable Chop Shop guy who would give her a 50/50 split on whatever he gets for the parts after he steals the Hyundai from her driveway? LOL! Just kidding :)

LEATHER INTERIOR AND LOADED ITS A V6 GLS BUT I CANT GET THE EXACT MILEAGE RIGHT NOW BUT I BELIEVE IT 180000

You could get about $1500 for it with the problems it has.
