Shifting at high speeds

Asked by Ranger17713 Apr 11, 2019 at 12:40 PM about the 2001 Mercedes-Benz C-Class C 240 Elegance Sedan

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My car will not shift once I go pass 50 mph. The
rpms will rise the fast I go, I. E. 55 mph will be at
2.5 rmps, 60 mph will stay at 3 rpms, etc... What
could be the problem?

The transmission may not be shifting into top gear. Have a transmission shop look at it. Find one that knows MB.
