Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I did change the battery but still wont crank nor
start. Now when i insert the key. It shows take your
key out of the ignition. What seems to be the
problem? Everywhere was working few weeks ago
when i parked it. Now it wont crank nor start and
says i should take the key out of the ignition.

    My benz starts well has power, but wont engage gears even when i shifted to drive. The rev counter just goes up. There is a whistling sound in the gear box. Its automatic transmission.
