Can I install a 2003 elantra GL engine into a 2002 elantra GT?

Yes, this will work. Your 2001-2003 engines are the same, however, some engines from 2003 are CVV2 & MAF based and won't work. Also, you need a MAP-based engine instead of the late 2003 MAF based engines.

If I'm not mistaken, they are the same engine. All Elantras from 2001 to 2003 have the same 2.0L engine.

why would you downgrade? whell anyway as long as the engine is newer, go for it. i would honestly choose the Tiburan 2.0 instead. higher horsepower, same engine

I wanted to know I'm Getty a 2002 Hyundai elantra and has very low miles. Good engine and just got into accident just all front end is damaged front hood and side bumpers.. it starts up good so what other car can I use my engine in... Help what should I do with it I need a car please tell me what should I do..
