could just be air in the system. best way to get it out is to take radiator cap off, turn car on and set heater to full blast while making sure coolant is full. keep running till it hits operating temp. then make sure its full and put cap back on. also, theres been times that i baught a bad thermostat which could cause this. when buying thermastat dont be cheap. get a good one. you get what you pay for. they sell differnt kinds that open at differnt temps. buy the one that opens the soonest.
I have a 2012 Hyundai Accent it's the radiator is overheating when it sits but if you use no water from the reserve is still full
Forgot to mention the radiator cap can cause overheating as well. Every car requires a certain amount of psi for the cooling system. A bad cap can cause the resevor to not supply water/coolent.
