Elantra- both front doors won't open (from inside or outside) after an accident.

Asked by GTEtoonice May 19, 2018 at 12:37 PM about the 2000 Hyundai Elantra GLS Sedan FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My step daughter just got into an accident.  She rear ended another car.  After
the car was towed back to the house we could not open either of the front
doors.  I climbed over the seats and tried from the inside, changed the lock
status and still neither door would open.  Any ideas?????

It sounds like the car was pushed in Binding the doors against the lock catch. A body shop needs to look at it for possible straightening.
