My wife 2000 Hyundai Sonata wiper fuse keep blowing. It's been replayed twice. What could be causing the problem.

Hi Dave_bev! The wiper issue could be a bad wiper motor but there are several other places in the electrical chain where there could be a problem. I would start with verifying the integrity of the wiper motor. As for the starting problem, I'd have to know a little bit more about how it doesn't start. Does it turn? Does it have trouble firing? Does it fire at all? Here's a no-start troubleshooting guide if you have interest in trying to run down the problem yourself. Good luck! http://www.samarins.com/diagnose/index.html

I've had the same problem in my 2000 Sonata this past winter. If the wiper switch was in the "on" position, the windshield had frost on it and I turned the car on the wiper would stick to the windshield and the fuse would then blow. Solution: if I forgot the wipers were on when I turned the car on - I pulled one of my extra fuses that I keep in my glove compartment and replaced it (also make sure it's the correct voltage - I made that mistake the first time) Wiper motor has been working just fine.
