why does my car cut out while driving?

Asked by MariSalzwedel Jan 25, 2015 at 04:54 AM about the 1999 Hyundai Accent GL Sedan FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My car had problems by starting it when it is hot, so we replace the coil. Now the car cuts
out while we driving about every 100m.  We check and there is no petrol coming into the
petrol filter (new petrol filter), but the car still starts.

The Alternator may not be charging enough. after it stalls / shuts off can You restart right away ? if You can, then it is not the alternator. if it has to rest about 15 minutes or longer then it is the alternator. Good luck !
