will my 2000 ford focus keep running with full charge batter the alt is no good it will keep running with a full changed battery it stays running with the booster cables on when I take them off it stops with a new batter can I go about 50 miles

take the battery to the store you bought it and ask them to charge it. then put it back in the car and drive directly to the store. they can check the whole charging system to find the problem for you. most of your chain auto parts stores do this for free.
