Ran hot because of a pinhole in
reservior,now won't start

Because the hood rod rubbed a pinhole in my reservior it ran hot.The hand didn't register it but I stopped immediately.After I got water in in it and got home,it wouldn't start it turns over like it's out of gas but won't fire(it has a half a tank)There is no water in the oil an no white smoke from the tail pipe.Please help

can you hear the fuel pump? If not that's probably what's wrong with it

You would want to do a engine compression test to see if you lost compression from it being hot. Low compression and the engine will not start.

I stopped right then,I let my car cool down,started it and added water
