when i put my auto trans in reverse its goes forward and when it i put it in netutal it goes forward whats the prob

It sounds like your shifter linkage is out of adjustment.

You could also spend several thousand dollars for a new transmission but I would try adjusting the linkage first.

Hey there i got a problem 1999 mustang gt is like its in a bind at the automatic transmission in park and reverse but in nutrul it will take off right after starting the car and note shifting good and strong. And after i get going nutrul will become nutrul and drive 1and2 all shifting but car ack like the brakes are locked up in reverse and i can rev the car in park and its like it is in park and reverse at the same time because i can feel the car bump back a little and then its like the e brake is up
