2000 Ford Mustang – Can’t get a correct diagnostic code

Asked by Pmiller683 May 04, 2017 at 03:22 PM about the 2000 Ford Mustang Convertible RWD

Question type: Shopping & Pricing

I have a 2000 Ford Mustang. I have taken very good care of it with regular
maintenance on all things. It began running very rough (misfiring). I have
taken it to two shops that both use what they called Versa Diagnostic
equipment (not sure if I have the exact name and spelling of the tool). Both
shops received various error codes that said they cannot read the problem.
They simply cannot find a specific code that identifies why my car is
running rough.

Any advice? I am wondering if there is a repair shop company that does a
better job of reading diagnostic codes for a 2000 Ford Mustang?

There are a few things that would cause a misfire, Back Plugs, Check you wire harness, check, clean and or replace your injectors, low fuel pressure, fuel regulator...
