Mazda Tribute not have power to climb hill

Asked by swoodley Nov 28, 2019 at 12:07 PM about the 2006 Mazda Tribute GS AWD V6

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My mazda tribute 2006 does not have any power to climb hill. I got it service
change oil, oxygen sensor an filter. The mechanic told me that I did have a fire
behind the engine that burn one of the ignition coil an I replace that also. What
can cause it not to have power to climb the hills?

Too many thing to list. A tune up would help, as would cleaning and/or replacing filters, then checking all sensors are working good. Then you can start looking for mechanical reasons for loss of power; loss of compression, mistiming, worn clutches, low/loss of fuel pressure, and so on.
