I have a 2000 ford mustang base model 3.8 v6 when I start it up it makes a whining noise from the engine bay I'm not sure what it is and ill keep the wheels straight and still dose it

Tom has the best answer - otherwise - you could have a bad PS Pump anyway.

If it was the bearings would it smell like something burning its weird because it stoped for a few days and now its back agiab

And could it also be the alternator because it seemed like the smell was coming from it

remove your serpentine belt and start engine to see if noise is gone...spin and check for free play all accessories items...best way to check for a bad bearing or jammed part
